Carol J. Morrison

A Northwest transplant from the Deep South, Carol has worked for 25 years as a psychotherapist, college teacher, and relationship specialist. She wrote her first poem at age nine, has been writing seriously for ten years, and currently teaches writing classes and workshops in the Snoqualmie Valley/ Seattle area. Her vast experience with peoples’ lives and struggles, combined with her passion and talent for writing and her astute reader’s eye, make her particularly suited for critiquing works of fiction and creative non-fiction.

Ed Morrison

As our Technical Advisor, Ed provides Freestone Press with creative input as well as technical and artistic support. He has a B.A. in English Literature and an M.Div. from Columbia Seminary, Decatur, GA. Currently a psychotherapist in private practice, Ed has been director of a center for abused and neglected adolescents, an adult and campus minister, and a workshop and conference facilitator. He was an avid reader before he was an avid fly fisher.

Tina Talbot

Tina has worked in the publishing industry for 20 years. Along the way she has worked for corporations, graphic arts shops, universities, state associations, libraries and secondary schools and has edited all genres of writing including technical manuals.

She holds a B.A. in English and a Masters’ in Social Work. This blending of publishing and social services has punctuated her career and couples top-notch editing experience with a desire to support writers in their passion.

Andy Beers

During his twenty-six year career in electronic media, Andy, our Marketing Director, has been involved with cutting-edge projects for television, the Internet and Interactive television. For the last few years Andy has been involved in strategic planning and product marketing. Previously, Andy was Executive Producer of MSNBC.com, and News Director of MSN News. Andy spent twenty years in television news, most recently as the News Director at KING-TV the NBC affiliate in Seattle, Washington.
