Carol Morrison hooks award for Catching On

Freestone Press is pleased to announce that Carol Morrison has won the 2003 Jim Angell Award from the Presbyterian Writers Guild for her first book, Catching On: Love with an Avid Fly Fisher.

"I am delighted and honored to win this award," says Carol. "It's been fulfilling to hear people's comments about Catching On. Some are drawn to the spiritual journey, others identify with honoring a partner's passion, and some just find it funny. The award is presented each year to the best first book written by a Presbyterian. Inaugurated in 1993, it honors the memory of Rev. Jim Angell, a prolific pastor-writer. Carol will be recognized at the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) being held this May in Denver, Colorado.
